The return to Poki
This cold is really killing me. I have only played 100 hands in Poki, max speed, thats maybe 15 minutes. I am wiped out.
But I have learned something valuable in those 15 minutes. I don’t know my basic starting hands nearly as well as I thought I did. Playing just the top 25% of hands, pretty much everyone of those hands can be played in some situation. Most of the time I needed to reference my sheet to see if I should be raising or calling a raise or even reraising. I should be reraising AQo everywhere except early position. That one seemed new to me, but I wrote this sheet I am looking at.
This is just like flash cards. I am seeing the flop 57% of the time, mainly because Poki bots love to raise and try to steal the blinds. My win rate is at 32%, so I am winning more than half the flops I see. Winning is fun! I will have to try it with real money sometime.
