Long session
Apparently I need to be subsidizing my learning. Check out bankroll.
I two tabled all day today. Most of the day on 1/2 tables. You would think that was the problem with the bankroll. But not really. Its all table selection. I played 63 hands .50/1 and lost $18.75. On another table I made $37.38 in 243 hands. I made $6 on a 1/2 table and I played there for over 7 hours. The only reason I stopped playing there was Brook was coming home. The really big problem was I played poorly on two 1/2 tables back to back for $46.5 and $32 loses.
I started watching some of the people who were making money playing lots of hands. They would play as cheaply as possible until the turn, and then either fold or raise as much as possible. They also managed to pick up a lot of pots where everyone missed the flop, and since they were in over 50% of the pots that really added up. That coupled with the strange hands they could win with, they did very well.
Too late, I adjusted my game from tight aggressive to tight passive, only turning aggressive when I had the nuts or a strong hand and the other players were showing weakness. Too many players were playing good hands passivly and it was costing me dearly when they never raised their set, but easily beat my two pair I was willing to raise with.
To clear the bonus in a week, playing 1/2 is almost a necessity with the time I have. I think I will barely finish tomorrow. Playing 1/2 I was clearing 120 hands/hour when I check. Considering I was only playing 100 hands/hour .50/1, I went from 200-300 ish at lunch to the 883 I finished at 5pm. And I started the day with 125 raked hands from yesterday.
Unless my luck changes tomorrow, it looks like it is going to cost me about what the bonus is worth to clear it. At least I am not playing with my money yet.
Bankroll: -$142
Goal: 883/1400
