I am ready to cry now
Bonus is cleared. And it only cost me a little more than the bonus.
I played 677 hands today. At least 617 of those were raked, so the rake percentage is about double for 1/2 vs .50/1. I would never had finished playing .50/1.
I also found out a little late why the tables were so difficult. Its the bonus. All the players from higher levels drop down to the lower levels to clear the bonus, and the band of bonus whores that travel from site to site clearing bonuses are currently at Party at the 1/2 tables with me.
I played tight, real tight. 17.87% of the flop today. But I lost $93.41. At one table I lost $48.50. Never won a hand at the table and I was there for almost an hour, and I managed to loose all that in 3 hands. The last hand before I left the table, I lost $15 when I hit my full house on the turn and he hit a larger full house on the river. I had decided to leave the table as soon as the blinds came back around. They didn’t come soon enough to save me money.
I played six different tables today. Didn’t make money on any of them. Two tables I manged to stay up on most of the time I spent there, only to give it back right before leaving for a loss at the table.
Looking back at the loses and the times, the afternoon is definately more difficult than the morning was. Maybe next week I will play from 8am to 11am and call it a day. I think at lunch I was up about $20 overall, being down a small amount on one table and being up about $25 on the other table. At that point I was quickly approaching 1000 raked hands and I thought things were going great.
I just pulled yesterday’s numbers. It looks like I was up around $20 at lunch yesterday too. And I got hammered at the end of my session.
So the plan is to play .50/1 next Monday and Tuesday from 8am to 11am and then stop.
Any evening playing between now and then will be Poki.
I actually don’t think I am playing enough hands overall. And I am definately playing alot of hands too aggressively. Hopefully I can work out a better mix with Poki. I think I am going to use the stacked deck feature, so I can focus on learning all the starting hand that should be played from where with what bets. 17% of flops is not very much when about 10% of that is from the blinds. From watching the successful tight players, I probable need to be closer to 30%.

Next goal? Get bankroll back to zero playing one table of .50/1 at a time.
Probably no poker posts for a while. Poker is not fun after loosing that much money. Even when its not really your money.
