Is this a turning point?
I have two winning days this week and two loosing days this week. Three winning sessions, and four loosing sessions. I am even making above minimum wage right now in my 3 hours 22 minutes of poker play.
I might not be on the road to profitability yet, but things are starting to click.
The bad play for the night. AKo, early position. The stats aren’t up right now, so no details, but I didn’t make anything but I kept open raising and didn’t fold to the reraise until the river. Folding after the flop missed would have saved three big bets, and added an other profitable session to my list.
A nice side effect of my short sessions, when a mistake like AKo is made, there is no time for tilt. Luckily, most of my bad plays have come near the end of my availible time, so I don’t going chasing my money away, and instead there is time to stop and think about the mistake that was made and what to do about it.
Brook works Saturday and Monday is not a company holiday for Brook but it is for me, so I think I will try signing up for PokerRoom. BonusWhores has a 20% signup deposit bonus for $200. 1400 raked hands to clear it. Thats 20-25 tables hours to clear at 1/2. Depending on the rules, a smaller deposit might be necessary to guarantee that the bonus can be cleared in the time availible.
Hopefully this bonus can be cleared without loosing it all, like the last bonus. So far, bonuses are paying for my education in poker. No money out of my pocket, just time.
