skipped session, and a short weeknight session
I skipped my last stats from Tuesday, so if you do the math between the last post and this post, they won’t add up.
30 hands played and I won $6. The first table I sat down at had about 8 sharks and one calling station, who was winning. I got in a hand with AA, everyone else folded and it was the calling station and me. Flop another ace, no board pairs and this guy has played 100% of the hands since I started watching the table. Raise to the max. He capped the preflop, post flop and 3 beat the turn and the river. Only made $6.25 because, like I said, the rest of the table were sharks.
I noticed my buddy the calling station stopped calling after he had lost about $50 in 10 minutes. So as soon as the blinds came around, I left.
The next table was mixed. Two loose aggressive players to fund the table. Got into one hand with a tight player, split the pot. I was in the big blind, so I think that was a cool $0.75 profit for me. Got into a pot with one of the loose guys and won a nice $7.25 pot. Immediately gave that back to the same guy when I flopped a straight draw from the big blind for free. We both hit our straight, but he was 10 high and I was 9 high. Easy come easy go.
So it was a good session.
Goal: -26/$100
I might change my goal to clearing an Empire bonus, but that will be a Monday decision. It is still possible I might learn how to play poker and hit the $100 mark before then.
With the meet Saturday and Brook taking the Monday after Christmas off, I want to hold off to signing up for any new bonuses until I can put some serious hours in on the first day, and allow myself the max time to complete the bonus if I can’t finish it that day.
