Two tables
I played two tables. The first table I played tight preflop and played the odds post flop. Huge pots at this table ($9.41 avg). I lost $14 in 34 hands.
The second table I played tight preflop and played pair or better post flop. I won $3.50 on this table in 37 hands.
Now that has no statistical value what so ever. The first table I never won a hand. The second table, I won on hand for $8.50.
The big difference is the variance. On the first table, I was in 3 hands, contributing $3.50, $2 and $5.50 to the pot chasing flushes / straights that statistically should have been chased. And I agree, the final pots were $6.50, $9.50 and $33. The $3.50/$6.50 was a mistake, but the other two pots, I had overwhelming odds to chase.
I think I need to stick to the more conservative approach for now.
